Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with a strong background in healthcare IT environments for a full-time, permanent position available exclusively to U.S. Citizens. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing secure, scalable infrastructure systems for healthcare organizations, with a deep understanding of compliance requirements such as HIPAA.
As a senior technical leader, you will be responsible for managing critical systems that support clinical applications, electronic health records (EHR), data integration, and infrastructure reliability in a complex healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based systems that support healthcare applications and data platforms.

Ensure systems meet regulatory and security standards such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST.

Lead efforts related to infrastructure automation, system performance tuning, patching, and monitoring.

Provide advanced technical support and root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents and outages.

Collaborate with DevOps, network, security, and application teams to support system integrations and clinical workflows.

Design and implement disaster recovery (DR), backup, and business continuity strategies for critical healthcare systems.

Monitor system health and performance using tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent.

Document system configurations, processes, and support procedures for audit and compliance readiness.
Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship (Required due to data security and healthcare regulatory compliance).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.

8+ years of professional experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles, including at least 3 years in the healthcare domain.

Experience with:

Windows and Linux server administration

Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)

EHR/EMR platforms and HL7/FHIR interfaces

Strong understanding of security protocols, compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST), and healthcare IT architecture.
Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as RHCE, MCSE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist (CHTS).

Experience supporting healthcare applications like Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts.

Familiarity with PACS, clinical imaging systems, or health data warehousing.

Experience supporting IT operations in hospital systems, provider networks, or payer environments.

Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and CMDB practices.
