Product Owner – Healthcare Domain

We are seeking a seasoned Product Owner with deep experience in the healthcare domain for a full-time, permanent role available. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare technologies, regulatory environments (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR), and digital product development.

As a Product Owner, you will drive the vision and execution of healthcare technology products, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and impactful solutions for payers, providers, or health systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap and backlog based on stakeholder feedback, regulatory updates, and market trends.

• Serve as the voice of the customer and end-user across all development activities.

• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.

• Work closely with engineering, QA, UX/UI, and DevOps teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

• Participate in and lead Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives).

• Prioritize features and enhancements based on clinical value, compliance, and business impact.

• Monitor product performance post-launch and manage iterations and improvements.

• Ensure products are built to meet healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, ONC, CMS guidelines).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, computer science, or a related field.

• 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 3+ years in a Product Owner or Product Manager role.

• Proven experience in healthcare technology, such as: EHR/EMR systems, Patient portals, Claims processing systems, Care coordination platforms, HL7, FHIR, or healthcare data integration

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).

• Familiarity with payer-provider models, revenue cycle management, or telehealth platforms.

• Experience working with government or enterprise healthcare clients (e.g., CMS, VA, large hospital systems).

• Knowledge of data privacy, interoperability, and digital health trends.
